As a young SSgt in the USAF I was in a supervisory capacity responsible for the security forces protecting priority resources. I trained, quality controlled, supervised, and wrote performance reports for all subordinates assigned to me. I also routinely briefed upper echelon superiors on the daily status of assigned forces. These positions and responsibilities instilled discipline, organizational skills, confidence, public speaking skills, and determination in me.
