Comments on the Military and Business Ownership
In the Marine Corps, a phrase almost every Marine has heard is "Adapt and Overcome". When I purchased a small, local beauty salon, I knew almost nothing about hairstyles, beauty products, and hair coloring. I had to adapt to and learn about this new industry; I applied the leadership abilities and the work ethic I gained from the Marine Corps to grow my little beauty business to an important salon in the Houston/Galveston area.
