My service taught me: how to duck & when to stand up, how to be responsible for ones own actions, that there are consequences for every action or inaction no matter how small or large they might be, never to give up & always remember there is a solution to every obstacle, persevere & adapt then overcome, if one is in the presence of someone obviously more experienced/educated on a particular thing to shut up & listen/learn from their intelligence & survive.
